LM340AT-5.0/NOPB

LM340AT-5.0/NOPB is a monolithic 3-terminal positive voltage regulator, using internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe zone compensation, making it basically indestructible. If provided enough heat dissipation, they can provide more than 1.0A of output current. They are intended as fixed voltage regulators in a wide range of applications, including local (on-card) regulation to eliminate noise and distribution problems associated with single-point regulation. In addition to being used as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can also be used with external components to obtain adjustable output voltage and current.
